“We all grow up in a circumference, in a boundary we create for ourselves with circles, in circles, as circles.

Our first concept of circles are perfect, smooth, and round little patterns; colourful pieces with wooden pegs that slide into puzzles with ease. As curiosity sets in, we find ourselves crowding out into wider circles, and we begin to make discoveries of delight, disappointment, desire, and dread along these orbits of self-discovery. Then we learn that as one circle ends, the next circle begins with the painstakingly truth - every circle closes with patterns in its wake.

This exhibition has not only been the fulfilment of a circle in my life, but it is also the conglomerate of repercussions and ripples spiraling out over 60 years. There is a circle in each of these portraits; a story that is beginning, a lesson that is ending or the awareness of the divine infinity that has no end, like a circle.”
